Q to me creates short links and QR codes. When a QR code is created, the application stores the submitted title, target URL, short code, QR color, public-gallery choice, moderation status, selected language, optional comment and the e-mail address used for notifications.
The processing is carried out to provide the requested QR-code and short-link service and for the legitimate interest of operating, moderating and protecting the service. The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary to provide the requested service, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for moderation, abuse prevention, security, basic statistics and administration.
If the user selects publication in the public gallery, the QR code, title and short link may be shown publicly after administrator approval. Non-public links can work after approval but are not listed in the public gallery.
For security, spam protection and basic redirect statistics, the application stores the time of submissions and redirects, an IP hash and the browser user agent. The application does not store plain IP addresses in its own statistics tables.
If an e-mail address is provided when creating a QR code, the service uses it for notifications about creation, review, approval, rejection, blocking, changes or deletion of the QR code. E-mails are sent through Gmail/Google SMTP. If SMTP delivery is not available, outgoing messages may be written to a local mail log for troubleshooting.
The application uses technically necessary session cookies for administration features and a language cookie to remember the selected interface language. The application does not set tracking or marketing cookies.
QR-code records, related e-mail addresses, generated QR images and redirect statistics are stored until the corresponding QR code is deleted by an administrator. Admin logs and mail logs are kept for technical operation and troubleshooting and are deleted when they are no longer required.
Personal data is processed by the website operator and, where technically necessary, by the hosting provider and by Google/Gmail for e-mail delivery. Data is not sold and is not used for advertising profiling.
Data subjects may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability and may object to processing based on legitimate interests, where the legal requirements are met.
Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For Brandenburg, the competent authority is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg.
Questions about privacy can be sent by e-mail to atapin@gmail.com.
There is no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Public display and activation of links depend on administrator moderation.
